I got this pic from my friend, but anyway these are some theories of WHY Toby/Astro looks nothing like Tenma, why Astro acts nothing like Toby, and where their mom was through the whole movie:

Theory 1: Astro and Toby were twin brothers and grew up together. They must have inherrited their mom's eyes and facial structure. Astro must have gotten his mom's personallity while Toby got stuck with Mr. Know-It-All's personallity. So 9 years later (i just think Astro looks 9) Astro died of antifolectic shock or a serious alergic reaction. The next day Toby went to school and well took 2.5 seconds on a quiz. If you look closely at his face when he gets in the car Toby looks like he is about to cry. And well you know where it goes from that part of the movie. Where Mrs. Tenma was in this theory was a buisness trip and just wasn't there for the time being.

that could possibly work, felt like i was reading a script there. any way that makes sense but i thought there is only toby but when he tried to upload toby's memories he didn't expect him to not have his personlaity, thats where his mother comes in, i think toby was sad because he was neglected a bit by his father, you've seen the movie, the only time his father spent time with him was when toby died and he created astro, so thats what i thought of, but you could take it or leave it.
